Mainspring has experience with developing custom modules and themes for Drupal websites.

Custom modules can be developed from scratch to satisfy specialised requirements, or an enhancement to an existing module can be prepared to provide some missing functionality. The approach preferred by Mainspring is to extend and existing module using provided "hooks" or API'w which leave the original; module unchanged, but where this is not possible, then efforts would be made to have the additional functionality added to the module by way of an accepted patch.

Any modules created from scratch to provide capability that is not otherwise available, would be considered for adding to the calalogue of contributed Drupal modules so that the benefits of open source software, such as additional people contributing to their development are realised.
